Heather served as the DUI Grant Coordinator for Lamar County Sheriff’s Office for approximately three years. After being certified by the National Academy of Sports Medicine, she led the physical training program for the Southern Regional Public Safety Institute until transitioning to the role of Accreditation Manager. In this role, she led the CALEA accreditation process. Southern Regional Public Safety Institute was the first law enforcement training academy in the state to become awarded with national accreditation under her management. During her time at SRPSI, she also gained additional grant experience, managing the Rural Training Grant and working with the Mississippi Board on Law Enforcement Standards and Training in various roles.
As Accreditation Manager for the Columbia Law Enforcement Training Academy, she earned the academy state accreditation in law enforcement and corrections. She is currently still in this role.
Heather is married to Clint and is a mother of twins. In 2021, she graduated from the Columbia Law Enforcement Training Academy as class leader. She is currently the Accreditation Manager for the Columbia Law Enforcement Training Academy. Still, she prioritizes the majority of her time homeschooling her children.
